Miniature mare in foal- Yes Mariah again
« on: November 29, 2007, 09:51:38 AM »
Just wanted to share with you all Mariahs pregnant condition.
She is 9 1/2 months along now and due in mid January.
Of course the last time she suprised me, and decided to have it two weeks early so really she could foal at the beginning of January.
She's such a good mare, and we are looking forward to another healthy foal.

'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.' - Theodore Roosevelt 1907

Thanks all!
And thanks Helmsted,  A&R reg. Mariah is bred to my Champagne 30" stallion Prince Charming.  (Also A&R)
She has always been an early breeder, and in 06 gave me a December filly. (remember Santana?)
But this time I made her wait til early Febuary before letting her breed again.
I am hoping for a Champagne color, and have a 50% chance of getting one according to the Charts, but will be thankful for anything healthy.
Yes,- She is well put together....Mariah has a list of National Grand Champions starting with her sire on her top side, and and going back at least 3 generations, ending with "Egyptian King" himself.
I had her up for sale, after I bred her,- and nobody snapped her up, so I guess I will foal her out first,- before offering her again, as she is too close to term to let her go now..
I keep asking myself "why am I selling her?"  lol
She is such a good mare and can be ridden too, just like Kachina her dam.
This will be Mariah's second baby. :bundlejoy:

I DO remember Santana!  It's all coming back now  :hehe:

I really want a mare, but honestly it's not in the budget right now.  We have a buckskin long yearling colt...Buckaroo, Gold Melody Boy and Stouts Mr Pride bred.

Santana really took some changes before she sold to some one locally here. ...
She turned out to be a silver dapple..
