I guess you say a ball phython is exotic
« on: March 02, 2005, 01:00:06 PM »
I have a ball phython and he is so sweet. My daughter loves to get him out and play with him. We also will have a pet lizard soon. Got everything setup and it will be in her room. We love animals and guess many people think we crazy for so many pets but we take great care of them. If I posted what all pets I have you all may laugh  :D I enjoy reading what kind of pets people have. I hope I don't sound crazy but if like to know later what all I have I will tell you and bet you laugh.

HEHE

Good Day everyone!!

Please share! :D
When my children were growing up we had a lot of pets!
At one time we had 10 aquariums with mostly fish but we also had a large painted turtle, Eugene and a blue lobster. Those wet pets were among the other cats, dogs, hamsters, gerbils, birds and lizards.
Now I have settled with just 40 goats, 4 cats and 2 dogs!

Please do share!

When I was growing up at our old house,we've had a hamster,a turtle,a guinea which slept in my room,a tank full of fish,my brother had chinese mice, etc.

Now that we've moved to the country,we have guinea fowl,1 peacock and 3 peahens,20-23 cats,4 dogs,50+goats,many,many Muscovy ducks, only a few Black Swede ducks and we also have Khaki Campbell ducks,I think thats all,we used to raise and breed sheep too,but we sold all of them in 2003.

Fixing to get me some goats to have as pets and later get into breeding. I can't wait to get my goats. I may end up staying out in the barn a day or so with them. Due to been so exited about that. LOL.. My child is wanting a easter bunny so may break down and get her one for easter.

When I was growing up I ended up with wild pets like coons, groundhogs, rabbit and such.  They would end up tame but start out wild.

Jamie, I just read this post and it came to mind that you sound like Elly Mae Clampet (with all her 'critters')  from the greatest show on TV..The Beverly Hillbillys!! love you girl!! I raised a wild rabbit on a bottle, raised and trained Beagle hounds for rabbit hunting with my grandfather (had 40 beagles) and loved it!! cared for an abused cat that some boys had pulled out his teeth and crushed his skull, you had to feed the cat moist cat food with a spoon as a kid I was always bringing some stray animal home..Haylee wants a snake for a pet, but no way! not in the house. I don't mind petting them or seeing them around the farm..but NOT in the house..if that thing was to get out of the cage and get in the bed with me! LOL...I would be hanging from the ceiling fan!!! my next wish is for a Percheron or two so we can offer old fashioned hay rides and sleigh rides (didn't snow enough this year, have to put wheels on the darn thing) These horses are 'gentle giants'.  That's what i would like next....then maybe a....and then another pair of.... oh, better stop now before hubby reads this..shhhh!!!

Kim, all the wild animals came from Dad with a few I found myself.  And I forgot turtles.  I was a turtle freak and would try to keep everyone I found.  They wouldn't eat and I would have to turn them loose.
