Im so excited!
« on: March 28, 2005, 02:24:03 PM »
I'm going today to pick out a llama!  I am so excited!  It is just not the same around here with out our beloved Betty.  David and Bernice still are looking for her.  The breeder suggested we buy another one.
Also, I hope to pick up the llama we want for Andrew to show, a real beautiful gal.  The handler is expecting her first baby and won't be showing as many this year, the owner is willing to sell some.
I will post pictures as soon as I get home...
Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!

Woohoo!  We are home..and with THREE beautiful GIRLS!
They are so well behaved, halter with ease, trailer without any hesitation, I am so happy!  They came with a breeding so we will be having a visiting stud in two weeks... they all tested great on their progesterone levels so we will breed  and draw blood 21 days after to confirm...then wait a year for Baby Cria's!  The introduction to the other llamas went very well, they were very curious about the lambs...they followed them all over to get a good smell and the poor lambs kept moving away like "hey, what's the big idea??!!"
Here are their photos taken with my mom and Andrew

OH!  I like the black and white one but they're all gorgeous.  Their hanging hair reflects the hanging willow limbs.  Great pics! :D

'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.' - Theodore Roosevelt 1907
