Please remember Andrew 17year old and his family in your prayers. He has been in pain for a couple of weeks and the Dr. finally ordered a CT scan. It turns out Andrew has a mass behind one lung, and an oncologist has been called. We don't have a report from the oncologist or even a biopsy yet, but a mass on someone so young is really scary. Please remember Andrew and his family.

Diagnosis Ewings Sarcoma, it is in his T 5-6-7 down his spine. It is 5x4x7 cm (about the size of an orange). There are lymph-nodes involved.

They sent him home, he goes for his PET scan on Friday, and then they will schedule time for his surgery, and for his chemo port to be inserted. After that, he has about 9 months of chemo and radiation. Thanks for asking.

Wow that is a long time for someone so young. I just hate hearing stuff like that. Prayers coming his way....

Update: Andrew is now on his 5th round of chemo, each round seems harder than the last (he has to have 17 rounds). They are hoping to shrink the tumor to a size that will allow them to remove it. Right now it is wrapped around his spine and a couple of ribs. Please pray that it is encapsulated, and has not infiltrated surrounding tissues.

He gets to come home tomorrow, today, his counts are so low they are transfusing.

Andrew had one of his scans today, and his tumor is now 10% of its original size! They are now considering not doing surgery, but rather continuing the chemo, with follow up scans. Praise the Lord, your prayers are being answered, please continue to keep Andrew and his family in your prayers.
