Please pray for my daughter
« on: April 04, 2011, 03:55:09 PM »
She backed over her cat on the way to an appointment this morning.  We tried to get him to the vet, but he died on the way.  It's raining here today and he was under her car to get out of the rain. My daughter is very upset.
It was our So-Bad, the cat in the picture.

'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.' - Theodore Roosevelt 1907

I am so sorry this happened, it's beyond sad.  :bawling:  Please give her a big hug from me.  A friend did the same thing - didn't know their elderly, hard-of-hearing collie was laying right behind her car when she backed out to go to work.

:s2: Misty I'm praying for you and your daugher.   We understand how she feels.  A few years ago my husbands favorite kitten fell asleep in the engine compartment of our car.  Of course we didn't know it and  she ended up stuck in the fan.  It wasn't pretty and very sad.  It happens.
