Molly's first night away from home
« on: July 21, 2010, 08:03:58 PM »
It's hard to believe Molly is already 6 months old!  She is at the Vet's office to be spayed and have some surgery to correct a problem with inverted skin around her vulva, allowing hair to grow inside that may be causing her urinary tract infections.  We took her this morning to the Vet for examination prior to having the surgery.  Dr. Cobb agreed with me that it would be best to do both procedures at the same time so she didn't have to be put to sleep but once.  Luckily, they had an opening for tomorrow for the surgical procedure/spaying, so we left her there.  I'll be so happy when tomorrow afternoon comes and we can bring her home.

The lambs are for thy clothing, and the goats are the price of the field.  And thou shalt have goats' milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance for thy maidens.  Proverbs 27:26,27

'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.' - Theodore Roosevelt 1907

:tyrose:  She's a tiny bit spoiled.  All of her toys are in a playpen and when she wants one, she'll come get us to put her in there to pick out whatever she wants.  After she makes a selection, she'll jump up and down (kinda looks like the flying nun with the ear thing going) and we have to take her and the toy out so she can play with it.  If we don't take her out, she'll throw the toy over the edge and continue to throw her toys out until we yell "uncle" and get her out of the pen.

She's still just laying around this morning.  Because of her biting at her stitches, she has to wear that goofy looking collar which makes her afraid to move around much.  The surgeries went without a hitch, though.

Aww, she is so sweet. I know you're glad to have her back. She's a poodle, right? Please don't be offended if she's not. I'm not good with dog breeds. I am asking because my neice just got a white standard poodle and she just loves him. Smart as a whip, like Molly.

:ty2:  Yes, she's a mini poodle.  She's doing fine, although she doesn't think so.  She expects US to bring her the food and water rather than her going to where it is.  Stinker.  Sometimes I wonder if she's faking.  Wouldn't put it past her at all.  Soaking up all the attention she can get.   :lol3:
