my brother
« on: January 26, 2010, 04:54:23 PM »
My brother became a born again Christian about a year and a half a go and has been trying to let go of his past but unfortunatly when you are around people who will not let it go it is hard for you to get past your past. He called me about two weeks ago to ask if he could get help to move out here with us. Well last night he had had enough and called us to tell us he was leaving. He left around 7 pm EST and we have not heard from him since. He is traveling 2000 miles across country by himself.

We have a place for him to rent, some one gave us two nice reclining chairs for him and we are waiting to hear back on a bed. I have some kitchen things for him and have been given some other stuff. There is still stuff needed to help him set up his new home.

Please pray for his safe travel across the country. Please pray also that he gets a job and that we can get everything together for him when he arrives. Thank you.

You got it!  Will surely keep him in my prayers.
Not to worry.....  If he's living for God now, God will take care of him!
The Good Lord gave you two ends.....one for sitting and one for thinking.  Heads you win, tails you lose.

'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.' - Theodore Roosevelt 1907

found out he broke down and can not get his truck fixed. He is going to sell all his tools and take the bus out here. He is getting a lot of problems from those trying to keep him out there. He has been their scape goat for years and if he leaves they just might have to face up to who they are. Thank you for your prayers.

He is hitting a couple of hard walls. Please pray that he can be strong enough to climb these walls. Thank you.

Thank you. He is hoping to have things settled and to be able to leave tomorrow. He is coming out by bus now and just have to find one leaving tomorrow afternoon. I am hoping to find a bed and table and chairs plus some other things like blankets, towels and then sheets for his bed. With money tight I am asking around and have visited the local church that gets things donated. By the grace of God there are two really nice chairs for him to sit in. He would like to have a tv so that he can stay home and out of trouble. He is also going to need a vehicle, we have one he can borrow but can not afford the insurance on it. so many things to prepare for. Again thank you all for your prayers.

   Yay!  God is good.

I'm sure he will adjust over time.

Just keep reminding him that this is his opportunity to start fresh and be the person he wants to be!  No more baggage to haunt him at every corner.

Will keep you all in prayer.
