There Is a God

I love it when I hear a song that speaks to my heart, and that I can relate to!! - the past couple of days, I've been hearing a song (new?) from country singer LeAnn Womack (of I Hope You Dance fame).  The name of the song is There Is a God, the lyrics and chorus are actually quite simple - she just names things found in our everyday lives, such as riding a horse at full gallop, looking down at the world from an airplane at 30,000 feet, hearing a baby's heartbeat on an ultrasound - and the chorus asks, "There IS a God - How much proof do you need?"  And I have to admit that I've most often found irrefutable proof of intelligent design in similar, everyday things, and in my case, often in nature.  I know there's a God when I look at a Morning Glory blossom, and see that unearthly shade of blue tha'd found nowhere else, that He created for one purpose only - to adorn that flower, and when I see the perfect furling of that same blossom before it opens - yep, there's a God as sure as I'm born!!!

Thought it might be interesting to ask.................. What are some of the things that have simply "sealed the deal" - just validated your belief in Him?

Great question, Doreen.......I'll be interested in everyone's answers as well.

For me it is the way He answers my prayers, and the peace that only He can give no matter my situations. 

I'm always amazed when I find myself or someone I love in a situation that seems impossible. But when it's brought to God in prayer, and He works it out, it just simply unfolds, and there can be no credit or "glory" to anyone else.

I'm so grateful to know God.  To know that He is, and that He loves us.

I'm grateful to know that He created me with a plan for my life, and I'm grateful to know where I'm going to be when my time on earth is through.....That's what perfect peace is all about.

The proof that there is an Almighty God is all around us ... in everything we see!  In the way certain Bible verses come to mind just when I need them; in the prayers that have been answered when I petitioned Him, and the ones that I thought He didn't hear and found out later than He did hear my prayer and, yes, it was answered.  He had answered it in His way and according to His plan because He knew that was best for me.  And the peace I found when I gave my life to Him in 1985.

Also for me it is Nature    just look at the Moon Flower for instance  no other will bloom  once in the evening and then it is gone.     What about  all the birds in the wild   all staying within their own species   Can man created that??    I like to think abt  the possiblility of an ALIEN  just falling to earth  not being taught any doctrine and given a bible and the earth.      Do you really think he would revert to Darvin?

God is in every miracle, and adversity for me. Every new born that takes its first breath-a miracle, every sick animal that recovers-a miracle, every animal and human who peacefully leave their earthly body behind, another miracle. Even adversities, when God carries us through.
