At our family Christmas we play the white elephant/secret Santa gift exchange game. We all draw a number and go in numerical order to choose to unwrap or steal. Each gift can only be stolen twice.
Anyway, I opened a candle. I liked it ok, but there were other gifts I liked more. The last number was drawn and then a succession of steals took place with one final gift in the middle. It was from my Grandmother. No one really wanted the gift, even though nobody knew what the gift was. I still had the candle for the last 10 or so turns and had decided it wouldn't be stolen away from me.
Then, it was my turn. Time was running close to needing to make lunch reservation time at the restaurant so I took my chance with Grandma's gift. I loved it! I got kitty cat slippers that are very furry & cute with adorable kitty faces and a night shirt. The night shirt has "When You Can't Sleep Don't Count Sheep... Talk To The Shepherd" and has a picture of a shepherd & his flock.
Some of the most wonderful gifts from God are the ones we don't want to open.

As we enter into this Christmas day, let us not forget the gift God gave us, that of his Son. Peace and good will to all, and may God bless you and you family as much as he has blessed the Marquis family this special season.
