good bye my good freind
« on: February 03, 2008, 12:55:52 PM »
i lost mymy first and best ever llama freind last night. i had found out recentally  that he was older than what we were told when we bought him, he was more like 15, he went peacefully, he layed down on his hill to watch out over the feilds for the last time. the only thing we can think of it was old age. he had a hard life before we got him, he was in bad shape and hadnt been feed right, and never sheared. the last 2 years he has been at our place and having a great life out with the goats and taking walks with me. he loved animal cookies, he would hum when you would bring him a couple. jacob was the best guard llama and freind the the goats and me, i am going to miss him, he was a very special boy.

I know he loved you and you loved him...He will be missed terribily...He had a good life at your ouse and you had him spoiled rotten...Just remember the good times and it will make your heart feel better. He is now guarding all the little goaties on Rainbow Bridge and feeling younger than he has in a while...Again I know words dont help much but we are here for you...  :grouphugg:

:tissue:  I am so sad for you, to hear that you've lost Jacob.  I know he loved you, and I hope it makes you feel a little better to know that you made his life so much better in the last couple of years that you had him.  He probably loved you all the more for it, too!!!  I bet you have some great memories of Jacob, like that great pic of him you posted!!

'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.' - Theodore Roosevelt 1907

thank you all for your thoughts, it has been so lonally not getting his special kisses every time i am out checking goaties. and they seem so lost with out him. it has hit mallory the hardest he really took to her and they were allways side by side, and she would lay next to him and sometimes even climb on him to give him a hoof massage. ( she is a small black pygmy) she keeps getting out of that pen (she hasnt done that ever in the 2 years she has been here) i think she thinks he is some where else in a different pen. so i went ahead and put her up by the house so she can see me in the door and even come in for a little bit in the evening to vist.
