« on: April 30, 2007, 03:24:10 AM »
Intoducing our homemade hatcher/brooder...once a beautiful antique sewing machine and cabinet and now a beautiful chickie hatcher LOL.

Trial run = 4 Silver Phoenix eggs and 14 Barred Rock eggs due to hatch Weds.

we have 13 of 18 hatched this morning, 2 more within 30 mins of hatching and 1 other that is pipped!!!  if we get 16 of 18 i will be more than pleased..  that would be a 90% hatch!!  that is outstanding!!  we'll send more pics along soon!!  the "sew-a-bator" Rules!!!

LOL A good friend of ours thinks Benjam1 should go into the incubator building business!

Okay...here's a current picture of the babies:

There are 4 Silver Phoenix (100% hatch rate on those) and 10 Barred Rock (four of those left to hatch).  We have one lone Delaware egg (her last before getting pink slipped for egg eating) that is a day behind the others.
