My good friend in south Texas has a new grandbaby premature now weighing at nearly 2 wks., 1lb 10 oz. the hole in her heart is not closing as should be. they have given 3 rounds of meds in hope of it closing up. May have to do surgery. has had 3 blood transfusions and now has a staph infection. She needs all the prayers we can muster up.

A small update the 3rd round of meds hasn't seemed to work in closing the hole,the drs are waiting to see as it is smaller than it was but baby is still on oxygen and that seems to be a problem as the lungs fill with fluid. They can't do the surgery for at least another wk because of a staph infection caused by one of the tubes in her. SO keep up your prayers.

The baby is about the same. The hole did open back up and they are scheduling her for surgery this next week. Her blood tests have showed the staff infection is gone and they have to keep giving her the antibiotics until they get 3 negative tests in a row. I'll let you know when the surgery is. The doctor said that it takes longer to prep for the surgery than the actual surgery takes. We feel confident this will work and this little punkin will start improving soon and get off the ventilator

They baby came thru the surgery good, but DR says may take 3 or 4 days for her to recoop because of the size of the hole.
But all in all tis a good sign

Last night little Aubrey (picture above) took a turn for the worse. Dr called in parents as they didn't think she would make it thru the night.
However she did and her oxygen is up a little this am and her blood pressure too. but her kidneys are not yet working since the surgery.
So please don't forget to give an extra prayer for this little fighter.
