'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.' - Theodore Roosevelt 1907

Now how in the world can you not hold and snuggle with those little bundles of joy?  I'll bet late at night when son is asleep you are off holding and playing with them.

:reindeer: Well, it is getting hard not to hold them!! They sure look huggable!! I petted Piggie when Henry put him up on the table yesterday and he seemed to like it!! Little fugde is a shy booger, he really hadn't been handled too much before we got him, so he's pretty withdrawn most of the time. Henry gets him out too, but very carefully!!

What a sweetie. What color is that considered. I think you mentioned before, but do you have mini lops or holland lops? I have mini lops and they are furballs. We have been thinking of breeding them, but have not decided. We would sell them for pets. Do you breed them? Is it difficult? Thanks.

Yes, I love the mini lops too, but they get sooo much bigger than the Hollands, despite their name!! They look so much alike, I was getting the JR. mini lops confused with a full sized Hollands until someone told me otherwise. Yes I have a Holland. Fudge is called a broken Tort. Which in the bunny world, colors are very complex,..LOL. What they call Blue, I call gray!

From what I read, breeding rabbits can be difficult, some of the babies are to be expected to die, and you can get "peanuts", which will die. So I guess you may get 1 baby out of 6 if your lucky!!!
Henry has decided he wants to try to breed them, so we'll see how it goes!!  I have to build a larger cage system out there and Henry has to build a nest box first before we get the other bunnies to breed with.

Sondra has bunnies, and I bet she'll have more info on the breeding. Sondra?
