My llama has bad breath...

Hi.  I bought my llamas in the fall.  One has terrible breath.  It is not like amonia or sweet.  It smells like stomach problems.  I doesn't seem normal.  Any ideas?

sounds like a digestion problem of some sort or else maybe a tooth problem.  Since I know absolutly nothing abt llamas  am not much help  but I would look at the teeth.

Owners should be observant to swelling in the bone around the teeth and jaws, as
it can be associated with gum injury and tooth root abscesses. Prompt veterinary
attention to this swelling may prevent prolonged and permanent infection. Rancid
llama breath should always be considered a sign of illness and merit prompt attention

Nicollett...Today I noticed that it is a sulfur smell.  What does that mean?

It means her rumen is working properly, sulfa smell/rotten eggs smell is good in goats and Llamas.

  That makes llama kisses not quite as pleasant as it looks on camera.

I am glad to know that it is a good thing!!!  Maybe I just notice it more on this gal because she is a very friendly-in your face llama.
