« on: June 22, 2005, 10:49:19 AM »
I have a babydoll sheep with Diarrhea, he was sheered on Saturday for the first time.  Is there anything I can do for him.  It just started last night.  Thanks.  Jacki

I would start with a fecal to see if parasites are his problem.
Good luck!

Yep, I would run a fecal... How old is he Jacki?  Have you made any sudden food changes?   If he were mine, I would give Nutridrench and Probios until you have the results back.  Is he acting okay otherwise?

You can get the Nutridrench and Probios at most farms stores, Co-Ops or TSC.
Any vet will be able to run the fecal for you and tell if you guy has a high worm load or cocci.
All you have to do is get some fresh poop in a baggie! :D

Thanks for all your help!  By the time I had gotten home from work he was back to normal.  I guess he just got into something, or the stress of getting sheered for the first time.  I went ahead and bought both of those medicines just in case it happens again.

Jacki
I got your phone message and tried calling you back and it said the number had been disconnected..And stupid me killed my cell phone in a fight with a guy, so I lost all my numbers on there...
Anywho, it sounds like your little guy is back to normal...Keep the Probios and Nurtidrench on hand, as you can use it for the girls as well...Have you wormed him lately?
